The lower tension of the Martin MA530 Authentic Acoustic SP Phosphor Bronze strings give acoustic guitarists the lighter feel of electric guitar strings, and when coupled with the shorter scale-length of travel guitars (like the Martin Steel String Backpacker), the Extra Light gauge has the feel of a regular set of twelves. These strings also feature an ultra-strong core to keep the sound and feel fresher for longer, while the phosphor bronze winding shapes shimmering, Martin-grade sound.

Deze week een setje MA530 aangekomen samen met een Cort GA5F BW NS waar standaard 012 set opstaat.
Daar heb ik niks tegen maar voor pure fingerpicking toch wat stroef, ik krijg al krampen in mijn vingerspieren. Qua klank ok maar die Martin MA530 zijn until now mijn favorieten.
Hierbij volg ik wel de raad van Tommy Emmanuel "you got to change strings once in awhile otherwhise your guitar gets lazy" en dat doe ik ook, mijn 2e favorieten zijn de Ernie Ball Earthwood 2150.
En alhoewel ik die dikkere bassen 050 apprecieer, er is voor mijn gehoor iets mis met de 010 en misschien ook de 013. voor ik met Ernie ball speelde ging mijn voorkeur naar de SP4000 van Martin strings, maar dat zou nu die MA530 geworden zijn. Ik speel sinds meer dan 15 jaar op een Parkwood grand auditorium (was de top van Cort, ontdekt op de Frankfurter Musikmesse) en ik begin te horen dat dat bovenblad door de jaren de gitaar echt laat stralen vooral ook als deze Martin MA530 opleg.
